The Fire Pit Camp is a small, family run business with lovely big ideas on how we can party lightly on the planet with camping, weddings, events, yoga, wellness, good food and strive, as a grassroots business (and family!) to help make the planet a better place - and we would love our team to help us grow and be the best place in the East to work and visit!

Wood Fired Pizza & Live Fire Chefs/Team

Live Fire Trainee & Assistant Chef
Start Date: November 2021
Annual Salary: Starting Approx £16,000 (£8.50/£10 per hour)
Possible promotion/Salary increase as Summer Peak Season or Wedding Catering - Increased Hours/Wages 

We're looking for a full time Camp Trainee Chef for our family run glamping site in Wendling, Norfolk.  We are passionate about slow food (opposite of fast food!), being sustainable and environmentally friendly whilst offering homemade, amazing wood-fired pizzas and live-fire gastro/tapas menu.  Our kitchen comprises of outdoor cooking on the live fire and in a woodfired pizza oven, training can be given, must be food safety trained and allergen trained (we can assist with this).

A love of good food and being outdoors in nature during all seasons. 

Role to include all kitchen responsibilities, stock control, cleaning, food prep and fire cooking. We're a small family team, with good vibes and happy campers!  The pop-up pizza restaurant currently operates every Wednesday-Saturday from 5pm-9pm/10pm and Sunday lunch service 12noon-5pm and runs alongside our brilliant warehouse cocktail bar, known as the coolest warehouse in the East!  We also host events, festivals and weddings, all of which we offer catering for.

Head Chef
Date: January 2022

Role to include kitchen management and kitchen running responsibilities, menu creation, food prep and fire cooking and managing the team of kitchen and service.
